What direction is the full color printing industry heading in??

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

In my opinion, it appears that a lot of companies have jeered themselves into doing gang run full color printing.  The problem is that once you create this would does ultimately his drives down prices lower and lower because everybody’s competing to keep those printing forms ganged up with a quick turnaround time. The way that form printing works is that you end up putting like 13 to 15 different clients on each individual forms. Basically, what generally happens is the form is 12 x 18 and then what you would normally do is put lets say eight different postcards up on that form.  Usually they’ll range between 4 x 6 full color postcards to full color postcards that are 5.5 x 4.25 92 when these postcards generally is from a different client.  And what you end up doing is running 5000 sheets and then cutting the sheets down in each individual postcard is a different client each client gets 5000 full color postcards. The promise is that you need to have every single day 10 to 15, 20 different clients ordering and purchasing every single day. Which then again, tends to drive the price way down because everybody’s competing triumph of their forms. Thus comes as saying live by the sword die by the sword. And based on the fact that the Internet is commoditizing everything within it commercial printing industry.  Many printers have been an able to continue and keep up. And also as a result, the 12 and three color printing industry has taken huge beating and it’s very hard to find offset printers that are willing to do 12 and three color printing nowadays.  They end up doing this gang runs.  Not just on postcards, they also do a non-full-color pocket folders, full-color brochures, full color postcards, full color business cards, full-color letterhead and envelopes, full-color rack cards, or even companies out there that I gang running full-color 30 no plastic cards.

Full color printing and going Green!!!!

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

This is going to be the wave of the new future.  When you think about it.  The volume of paper that commercial printers are taking down on any given day is estimated to take up miles of forest.  This is why it’s so imperative for this industry in particular to go green.  The more that the consumer request this or as a matter of fact demands it is what they need to spec out there jobs to sooner this will become a reality.  I believe that they innovative, full color commercial printer will get in front of this going green which will give them a competitive edge in today’s ever-changing printing industry. I know that www.preferredprint.com uses a mix between new and recycled paper. The paper that they are expecting all the jobs of the beast 80% of recycle compost within their paper. So whether you’re printing a one, two, or three color job.  Whether it’s a pocket folder, catalog, flyer printing, or a poster print job.  It needs to be on the least at the Ben minimum 80% compost recycle Paper. and actually really looks good as well  if you do a business card on 100% recycled paper gives is this really nice rustic look, which is a very different than what you see today on your average full color business card print job.  I believe his wallet this really creates a big marketing advantage when you can play this up that your company is getting behind all of the newest green technology.  It also looks really good on letterhead and envelope as well.

The full color printing industry, and what are you doing to retain your clients!!!??

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

If they were ever an industry need of a jumpstart.  It’s the printing industry. Commercial princes and been around for many many years that’s to good news. The bad news is, commercial full color printing has been around for many many years. Anytime and initiates used to doing business a certain way, they become very resistance to change. The reason that I’m so present to this is because I’m watching this industry as a whole not backing various different things that keep changing in today’s marketplace. First of all the Internet is the most powerful thing to hit this industry, and every industry for that matter in the history of business. This is also had some good repercussions as well as bit repercussions. The other thing that the full color commercial printing industry is not embraced a lease from my perspective is going green. This to me is an absolute must. And the more that I think about it.  The more that I realize the commercial printers that embrace this whole glowing green technology will be the four front-runners of the commercial printing industry.  The other industry that can really make a difference is the graphic design industry requesting inspecting all recycled paper on the wall of their new design pieces that they are now pushing out. As far as I’m concerned, whether you’re printing a full color business cards, or a full-color postcard.  The job needs to be a specification in my opinion on quality recycled paper.

Full color printing and the Internet??!!??

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Are very few industries have been it is hard and had the potential grows much as a commercial full color printing industry. As you have seen so many times over the last 10 years companies and been able to come out and position themselves to Thursday for marketing techniques such as paper click advertising, as well as search engine optimization and affiliate programs. By using these various different marketing techniques there been a slew of different companies that have been able to take over just about entire marketing shares. The good thing about the Internet is that you can be seen throughout the whole entire world provider your website is correctly optimize for search engine optimization and then as well as a well thought out pay per click marketing campaign. This particular proposition deftly has good news bad news properties within it. And here’s the good news within a click of a button millions of people are actually able to find your website to the very stiff and search engines. But that is also the bad news. Because everybody has been able to come across your to the Internet.  Most times things that make you different from your competitors is to be able to give the client more product for less money. So let’s take a look at this for a second if my competitors offering 5000 full color business cards for $150. than I can turn around and offer a 5000 full color business cards for $125.  And then another big commercial printing company sees that company a is or from $150 for full color business cards and company be is offering $125 for full color business cards.  Then they come out more for 5000 full color business cards for $99 and then kick in free shipping as an added perk to the client. So doesn’t take long to figure out that as a result of the Internet.  Many many businesses have become commoditized. So for a company to have longevity as well as profitability is imperative for a commercial printer to distinguish itself from his competitors. I think this is why so many companies have chosen to go niche rather than mainstream. The more niche to product, the more it’s in demand. So as far as I see it.  That’s the real question that needs to be answered is how far can you sway away from what your competitors are doing.  And then at that point just about exploiting those products and services, out into the world.  This information has no boundaries in any products, and she reported in to every and any product that relates to, marketing promotion full color printing, catalog printing, direct mail services, presentation folders, full color flyers, Brochure Printing, Color catalogs.

Full-color brochure printing

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

When was the last time you update your full-color brochure. Most companies don’t think about this on a regular basis, but the truth is, it is very important to keep your company look and design up to date. I guess that’s why so important that hire and work with a quality graphic design company. Your corporate identity is similar to wallpaper, what wallpaper was: updated back in 2002 would not be considered to be: updated in 2008. That’s why it’s so important to stay ahead of the curve. You should also keep in mind obviously that when updating this information is also needs to be liquefied throughout all of your different marketing collateral. Such is full color business, cards full color pocket, folder’s full-color posters, full-color rack cards. I can’t tell you how many times did I see people come into her office is looking to redesign.  One part of their corporate identity, and there is drastic inconsistency with their business cards to their postcards, right down the line to all the promotional collateral. Some clients Alexy come in with two different business cards completely different designs on completely different stocks. That’s why try to pound into the consciousness of every promotional director and marketing director that it’s imperative to have consistency in a corporation. One of our slogans in the printing company is, prices is important, but you your  image is everything.

Does your full color business card have what it takes

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

In question is, do you have more than one impression on a first impression and the answer is no. That’s why it’s so important have a full color business card.  That makes the statement necessary in today’s business environment.

When it comes to full color printing your image starts and stops you business card. What I tell people is its best it possible to create a business card.  That is full color two sided on a thick 12 point cover stock, preferably with the UV lamination. What I normally do for my business cards, as I actually set up the card using my logo on the front of the card and then on the back of the car I put all of my contact information as well as my e-mail address and website address so on and so forth. I also usually put on the back of the card my logo in the upper left-hand corner.  I find that this is a very clean way as well as a professional way to get my point across on my business cardFull Color Business Card

Step into your consumers world.

Here’s one of the things I’ve been thinking about most recently.  Very often we think about selling a product we think of it from the standpoint of what it is that we would like to get accomplished in the world. In our particular case, obviously we want to sell as much printing as we possibly can as well as service our existing client base. The problem is that only think about it from the standpoint would inevitably ends up happening is, we find the customer being resistance. In my organization, I had a sales meeting this week.  I have been listening to the book made to stick on audio tape in my car. There was an article about a newspaper in a small town that a subscription base of 110%. When asked the editor replied the reason that he was so successful is because they were great at doing local news and putting local people newspaper which had their readership.  Always focused in on the papers much as possible see if they were being mentioned in today’s newspaper. In my particular case, as I said before, I want to sell as many full color letterhead and envelopes as I possibly can. I want to sell as many $99 full color business cards as I possibly can. I want to be the leader in full-color pocket folders throughout the whole entire nation. I want people in the printing industry throughout the whole entire world to notice my business and its ability to grow in an ever-changing marketplace. I want all customers in people when thinking of a full color printing comp and he thinking of our company. So now that I got that one across the point is that these are the things that I want and not necessarily what the client wants. I sat down myself staff, on Tuesday this week, I told them to start going local. What I mean by this is to actually find out what’s going on in some of the communities where we have our customers or potential customers. A great way doing this is one of the things you can do is just get an RSS news feed through the Internet for the specific state or city that you’re looking to do some potential business in. That’s what I mean by getting into other people’s world.  I told myself people that you need to be able to call up a person and be able to make a comment about something is going on in their local newspaper. Maybe a new governor was elected or new politician of some sort may lose some kind of big bicycle race.  Or maybe it’s just something as simple as their team won the Super Bowl or the World Series. My point is I think you’ll find at the level of cool: that’s for sure that people will be very interested in talking to if you can bring down that first screen of resistance. So there you have it, think less of what it is that you want to do and more about what the customer might be interested in, and I think he’ll sell times more product. This goes for cold calling, direct-mailing, the full-color catalog that you’re about to produce. All I can tell you is that for full-color printing business on loan to bring this whole concept into all of my full-color printing and graphics products

Operating in a high level of effectiveness in your next marketing campaign!!

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Obviously there are many different products that one can use to create an effective marketing campaign.  It has been my experience in the past that some people clearly down with play.  How important it is to create the right call to action that will have your audience purchasing from you.

Let’s look a little bit about how some businesses are more effective than other businesses at the level of their marketing campaigns. And as I speak about marketing campaign some encompassing all types of different marketing techniques such as direct mailing services, guerrilla marketing full color flyers, thank your full color letterheads & envelopes internally.

It is a question I asked people on a regular basis.  If you took a piece of toilet paper and put your name and number on it and do a little logo by hand and handed that out as a source of your business card.  What do you think most people’s response would be, more formally, how do you think that you would leave deck client in their perception about you and your company. So the next question is as if you did the same thing.  But yet and so using toilet paper you used a nice piece of paper that had been cut to a 2 x 3.5 size, which is your average size for business card and you wrote your name and number need legal and sketched a logo about your company on a business card, would he think people’s response would be that in having you think that they would view you in your company after receiving that as well. Then you took that same exact piece of paper.  Instead of sketching anything you actually created a nice two color logo with a simple, easy-to-read font.

Obviously the more professionally, you can make something look, as well as not having it appear or occurred or be cluttered, the better off you are.

The next thing that’s obviously very important is to create a very strong and effective call to action on those very stiff and pieces whether they be business card sized flyers, a full-color 4 x 9 rack card, an 8.5 x 11 full-color trifold brochure, or a 40 page full-color catalog. What you say on these particular products is very important in the effectiveness and profitability of these tools that have the ability of impacting your business in a positive way.

Some other thing is that you can actually create from effective call to action is what’s known eight take action statement.

They generally look something like this.

: for a limited time only when you purchase 5000 full-color postcards.  You will receive 5000 complementary business cards with a retail value $150. While supplies last, good only for the next 30 days with an expiration date

: if you’re one of the first 300 callers, you will be put into a drawing to receive $5,00. in cash.

These are simple but effective calls action which would have your average customer looking to take advantage of these particular situations.  What I normally like to use is what’s known as a media mix. Generally, what you’ll do is you are actually create four or five different products that would actually have you have an effective marketing campaign and use them all simultaneously within the first 30 days to market that specific product. When I would generally do is suggest to a customer to order a full color vinyl banner, a full-color 24 x 36 inch poster, a 4 x 9 rack card to be distributed through local retail stores. I may also have them create a nice full-color brochure as well. Then when I generally would tell them to do is with the full-color rack cards to put the manner local retailers. Maybe sent out 5000 piece mailer to the very different retail markets, they’re looking to penetrate.  And then also to send out a nice size catalog to their existing client base.

I would also make sure that the graphic designer was working on one piece is saying graphic designer designing old pieces soon and there is a consistency to wall the marketing material.

When the companies that I referred to now and then to my readers so they can purchase affordable full-color printing is the website www.preferredprint.com

Sometimes less is more

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

This is something that applies to virtually every and all full color printing products. One of things that I’ve noticed since full color printing has become so popular, the overuse of colors.  What I mean by this is quite simply, it looks like somebody from the coal over peace has become so busy chanting and decipher what it is that they’re trying to sell versus what the actual copy is itself.  Quite simply said is they create too much information with too much busyness in the background, which dilutes the actual message of what it is that you’re trying to accomplish. Sometimes I asked a simple question, what is the purpose of marketing?  You would think the answer would be obviously to create sales.  It seems to me that sometimes the products is so busy that you came and decipher what the call to action on the page is.

Plastic Cards, Pocket Folders,Poster Printing,Rack Card Printing,Vinyl Banner Printing,Catalog Printing,Catalog Printing, Color Printing Services,Direct marketing,Flyer Printing,Direct marketing

in the paragraph above is a list of various different full color printing projects that you may see a company order at any given time.  I personally feel that the use of light and the background is obviously a very good thing.  It cuts down on the busyness of the project and/or the message.  I feel deeply nice image with a decent space of why is well.  And then the message of whatever you call to action is very effective way to get point.  Your point across. That’s why really believe that less is more. A nice image that has the person be drawn into the marketing piece and then exceptional hook that has them ponder and think like me and this is something I could use, or I got a have this.

As time goes on my hope to give you some difference designs that I think are good, versus ones I think are bad. Also affected and calls to action versus nonaffected calls to action. Essentially what I’m drawn to say’s marketing pieces and actually get a return on your investment.
