Full color postcards can sometimes make the difference between, getting a deal not getting their

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Full color printing is done so for the Boulder last few years that viewed not to take advantage of the technology bringing down the course of this particular product or medium would be silly. I know that there are very as different companies out there that offer very good deals on full color postcards. One company that I would tell you to go to a drop of the happy chrism happy with the work they’ve done for myself and my other clients over the years is www.preferredprint.com this company has been very consistent over the years, so I always tell people about it. Another lesson I looked at the data running a special for 5000 full color postcards, starting as low as $199. That doesn’t mean that you always have to use a postcard to actually be mailed out because postage can be a very costly proposition over time. Maybe one just print up 5000 in these 4 x 6 flyers into hand-to-hand distribution and very stiff and high traffic areas. Obviously you want to go to places that are going to be beneficial for what it is that you’re trying to market for.

The little promoter, who knew he could!!!??

Is been said by, many times before that, if you bring a good idea with a good attitude success is usually not far behind.

There is a saying in a very fun to that says an idea without action is fancy. In my opinion, there are many good ideas out there that would generate a tremendous amount of business for any given company. Genoa to prom is that those good ideas and never taken to the next level and then acted upon.

When it comes to marketing and promotion and/or direct mailing a good idea by itself is not enough.  When I sit and envision what my marketing campaign is going to look like.  I obviously look to get as creative as I possibly can.

When doing direct mail campaigns.  I usually have a philosophy on this, that is the what the biggest possible postcard that you can print without the postage going up dramatically. Make sure it’s a full-color postcard and make sure that the graphic designer working on it is talented and has the right skills set to fulfill on what you have is your ideas for this project.

The postcard size, I tell people to print is 6 x 11.5 this is still referred to as a letter-size mailing.  So when you send it out standard mala doesn’t matter if it’s 5 x 7, 6 x 8, 6 x 9, or 6 x 11.5. I tell people that the most expensive part of the entire process is obviously the mailing.  Generally the printing is fairly inexpensive next to the mailing cost.  So as far as I’m concerned they can statement you doing amount.

Another great size, if you want to go even bigger on say like 100 pound text brochure.  I suggested to print a tabloid size, which is 12 x 18, and then folded down to 6 x 11.5.

If printing is something to take into consideration or guards the course.  You may want to think of doing a rack card, the size of this is 6 x 9

and when you don’t want to do things such as mailer there is  always hand-to-hand distribution using different media vehicle such as full-color flyers. Generally these flyers are either a 4 x 6 and or 6 x 8. And as most things, if you use the right graphic design team and a good hook, and good call to action generally you’ll do very well.

If you want to move a mountain, bring a shovel and a good attitude!!

The reason I started out this blog entry like this is because most people don’t realize how important it is to be in action at the level of business. The reason that most people are successful, they actually take action and do what’s necessary for themselves and their business at the level of success.

As I’ve said so many times before the main reason that so marketing campaign fail is because businesses pull plug before they can be successful.

One of things that I tell people on a regular basis is, here’s the thing about buying marketing materials such as a full color printing.   Many people out of good ideas, but they failed take the actions necessary for those good ideas to be successful.  When I talk to people about what day are intending to do in direct marketing, full-color flyer distribution, marketing and promotion, full color postcard printing. You can work with the best graphic designer in the country and then have the most spectacular printed piece that anyone’s ever seen in the entire world.  However, if you do not do what’s necessary at the level of direct mail and meaning send them out to all the various different clients or and/or hot list that you may have, it’s worthless.

Sometimes I’ll talk the nightclub owners that will order the full color rack cards from our printing company.  And I don’t point blank and I should go out into sheer beauty flyers all over your community is a strong your money away.

Another conversation that ends up happening quite a few times a year, as I tell people we only print 5000 full color business cards.  Granted these business cards only question $99 for 5000 full color business cards.  Obviously, it’s like a deal is a century.  For one of the most common things people tell me as I don’t need 5000 business cards.  So I asked him why don’t you need 5000 full color business cards.  They tell me because I’ll never get rid of 5000 full color business cards. Here is my reply to that and you’re not going out to see enough people.  And you’re not going to enough tradeshows, and you’re not working on warm markets. You and I tell him instead of being chintzy we do business cards give someone five or six cards.  Do some networking, tell tell them, listen in determining onto some clients object to 10% back on whatever I make at the level of commission.  Created value for the business cards at this way when used as you read them and handing them out all over the place they have a physical value to them and people old onto them.

Sometimes it just absolutely amazes me that people actually find reasons not to be successful in life. One of the things that we have are of businesses, we have one of these auto dialer that automatically calls people all over the country off different list that we have. And sometimes my salesman come on, to me if they look toward about not working in a use this as a form of excuse or reason not to be successful. My reply to them is this, if someone told me that the order of battle was broken.  I would open up the Yellow Pages stock: people throughout the Yellow Pages. If I don’t have a Yellow Pages I will go online to struggle in people and looking very stiff or more contract cultivate. If I couldn’t get online and I would go to my current database of clients, and I would start calling them to see if they need any new services.  But I couldn’t get into a database of existing clients, and I could go out and go door-to-door. There is no reason or excuse not to be successful ever in life. Sometimes I wonder people forget that easy to go out and do things get involved.  Talk to people make sales!!

Operating in a high level of effectiveness in your next marketing campaign!!

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Obviously there are many different products that one can use to create an effective marketing campaign.  It has been my experience in the past that some people clearly down with play.  How important it is to create the right call to action that will have your audience purchasing from you.

Let’s look a little bit about how some businesses are more effective than other businesses at the level of their marketing campaigns. And as I speak about marketing campaign some encompassing all types of different marketing techniques such as direct mailing services, guerrilla marketing full color flyers, thank your full color letterheads & envelopes internally.

It is a question I asked people on a regular basis.  If you took a piece of toilet paper and put your name and number on it and do a little logo by hand and handed that out as a source of your business card.  What do you think most people’s response would be, more formally, how do you think that you would leave deck client in their perception about you and your company. So the next question is as if you did the same thing.  But yet and so using toilet paper you used a nice piece of paper that had been cut to a 2 x 3.5 size, which is your average size for business card and you wrote your name and number need legal and sketched a logo about your company on a business card, would he think people’s response would be that in having you think that they would view you in your company after receiving that as well. Then you took that same exact piece of paper.  Instead of sketching anything you actually created a nice two color logo with a simple, easy-to-read font.

Obviously the more professionally, you can make something look, as well as not having it appear or occurred or be cluttered, the better off you are.

The next thing that’s obviously very important is to create a very strong and effective call to action on those very stiff and pieces whether they be business card sized flyers, a full-color 4 x 9 rack card, an 8.5 x 11 full-color trifold brochure, or a 40 page full-color catalog. What you say on these particular products is very important in the effectiveness and profitability of these tools that have the ability of impacting your business in a positive way.

Some other thing is that you can actually create from effective call to action is what’s known eight take action statement.

They generally look something like this.

: for a limited time only when you purchase 5000 full-color postcards.  You will receive 5000 complementary business cards with a retail value $150. While supplies last, good only for the next 30 days with an expiration date

: if you’re one of the first 300 callers, you will be put into a drawing to receive $5,00. in cash.

These are simple but effective calls action which would have your average customer looking to take advantage of these particular situations.  What I normally like to use is what’s known as a media mix. Generally, what you’ll do is you are actually create four or five different products that would actually have you have an effective marketing campaign and use them all simultaneously within the first 30 days to market that specific product. When I would generally do is suggest to a customer to order a full color vinyl banner, a full-color 24 x 36 inch poster, a 4 x 9 rack card to be distributed through local retail stores. I may also have them create a nice full-color brochure as well. Then when I generally would tell them to do is with the full-color rack cards to put the manner local retailers. Maybe sent out 5000 piece mailer to the very different retail markets, they’re looking to penetrate.  And then also to send out a nice size catalog to their existing client base.

I would also make sure that the graphic designer was working on one piece is saying graphic designer designing old pieces soon and there is a consistency to wall the marketing material.

When the companies that I referred to now and then to my readers so they can purchase affordable full-color printing is the website www.preferredprint.com

Direct-mail campaigns that work. How do you know? Because the cash keeps flowing in$$$..

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Things to do and not to do on a direct-mail campaign..

1.) First off, the reason most mailing campaigns fail is because the the business owner and his pulling the plug before has a chance to be successful. Has been estimated many times that a person must see you’re at least four times before they even contemplate on purchasing from you.

I’ve said this before, and some of the articles I’ve posted that direct marketing works a lot like brainwashing. Every person I’ve ever talked to for as long as I can remember told me that appetizing works to frequency clients have to see a product again and again and to the repetition.  You’re able to create sales.

2.) One thing that a lot of people fail to do in marketing campaigns is to create some type of form of testing and measuring the results of that advertisement. As I mentioned before, I’m working with the business coach presently for my businesses, and she was working with a client or spending roughly $18,000 a month in print ads. Should mention to this gentleman if he is ever done a test and measuring to find out what his actual return is on his investment. He replied that he had not ever tested.  The actual ad, but he wished pretty sure that was working fairly well. Needless to say they came up with a practical way of creating some type of value within that had that will have people call it his business to take advantage of that or for. What they found was disturbing to say the least. They found that he was spending $18,000 a month for last three years.  And apparently the publication’s readers were not interested in what he had to offer. This is you could imagine was very disturbing to her client. That’s what I tell people on a regular basis that I run into is make sure that your testing and measuring your direct-mail campaigns.  All of your print ads in your various different magazines and publications. Even if you doing TV commercials to me it’s very important to create some type of value to the viewers of that as well.

3.) I have tried to send out various different postcards, as well as letters folded down into an envelope. And it seems to me when I create an actual value.  People generally call. I created an ad sometime back and read in one of these local free newspapers. It was funny because in that newspaper.  I advertise a lot of different prices. The one price that people seem to really chime in on was 5000 full color business cards starting as low as $99. Looking back at it now.  What I would’ve done is to just do one ad, 6″ x 9″ strictly promoting 5000 full color business cards for only $99. He is a would end up happening as a result of this marketing and what happens in most marketing ads. People would come into our office with the intention of purchasing 5000 full color business cards for $99.  Bowl would end up happening is they would come in and purchase those business cards for $99 and then end up spending a heck of a lot more than that to very stiff and products that they need to go with those business cards I remember a client came in one day for the business card special. What ended up happening was by the time they left the office that day than is spending $5,000. Obviously was worth it to do a special like that because the end result was.  People actually in the purchasing things from us.

4.) These are important methods to think about the next time that you’re coming up with a marketing campaign.

Whether it’s a full-color brochure, full-color rack card for mailing purposes, full color postcards for direct mailing, or full-color flyer to do hand-to-hand distribution within the conference center.  Make sure you have a strong call to action.

Custom tailored graphic design – generally bring you custom tailored paying clients.

I believe the first and most important thing you can do for yourself and your business is find a high quality graphic designer.  That’s not only talented, with his graphic design, but also honors himself as his word.  Meaning that he makes the deadlines that he set for himself.

The other thing that I think it is important is that you as a business owner research every and all marketing books that you get your hands on. Don’t try to re-create the wheel just find some good marketing campaigns and a brainstorm upon them. I saw a great ad the other day in the marketing book that I’m reading right now. At the top of the advertisement it said after you get married, kiss your wife and seven places she’s never been kissed before. I had to lay the first thing to happen was my mind will write into the gutter. Then I proceeded to read into the ad.

As I scrolled down the ad.  There was seven different places around the world that you could go on vacation in and kiss your wife in seven different locations in which he’s never been kissed before. That to me is very good advertising. What it does for me, is it does for many is it has me start thinking.

Think about the next time you spend all this money sending out of 50 or 20,000 full color postcards.  The most expensive part of that advertisement is the postage. Other people send out full color catalogs and they don’t put enough thought I believe in to the front cover of the catalog.  Now you spending tens of thousands of dollars on printing and on the postage.

This is something for you to think about the next time you invest thousands of dollars on your next direct marketing campaign, or your average marketing promotion that you invest in.

It is been said that the right wording match with the right image can make the difference between a successful mailing campaign and an unsuccessful in campaign.

I use myself as a barometer, a lot of times I figure if it works in May that all work for a certain amount of other people. Another thing I do is is I have a graphic designer who lay out the ad.  The way that I constructed it and then I take it home with me and I actually lay with in my bed at night. I ask other people what they think of the ad. And last but not least, I sleep on it for a couple days because I know, whatever it is I’m about to do its can of course be thousands of dollars so I better take my time and do a right.

Sometimes less is more

This is something that applies to virtually every and all full color printing products. One of things that I’ve noticed since full color printing has become so popular, the overuse of colors.  What I mean by this is quite simply, it looks like somebody from the coal over peace has become so busy chanting and decipher what it is that they’re trying to sell versus what the actual copy is itself.  Quite simply said is they create too much information with too much busyness in the background, which dilutes the actual message of what it is that you’re trying to accomplish. Sometimes I asked a simple question, what is the purpose of marketing?  You would think the answer would be obviously to create sales.  It seems to me that sometimes the products is so busy that you came and decipher what the call to action on the page is.

Plastic Cards, Pocket Folders,Poster Printing,Rack Card Printing,Vinyl Banner Printing,Catalog Printing,Catalog Printing, Color Printing Services,Direct marketing,Flyer Printing,Direct marketing

in the paragraph above is a list of various different full color printing projects that you may see a company order at any given time.  I personally feel that the use of light and the background is obviously a very good thing.  It cuts down on the busyness of the project and/or the message.  I feel deeply nice image with a decent space of why is well.  And then the message of whatever you call to action is very effective way to get point.  Your point across. That’s why really believe that less is more. A nice image that has the person be drawn into the marketing piece and then exceptional hook that has them ponder and think like me and this is something I could use, or I got a have this.

As time goes on my hope to give you some difference designs that I think are good, versus ones I think are bad. Also affected and calls to action versus nonaffected calls to action. Essentially what I’m drawn to say’s marketing pieces and actually get a return on your investment.

Looking for a great promotion something that has you stand out differently than your competitors? We’ll hear it is..

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

This is a promotion that I think I’m going to be taking on shortly at my own business. It’s one of those things I wouldn’t tell you to do something I’m not willing to do myself. In my opinion, anything that really comes off as different is generally something that stands out in the marketplace. They get your way from the same light humdrum, boring stuff that the average person comes up with.

I have to them and I do own a printing graphics company so for me it’s not so hordes actually come up with these ideas and then put them into practical application.  But I still find them to be very expensive and if you’re creative is the reason why you can’t get some crack and peel and do it on your home computer.  Really all you need is a concept.  You need to have some basic design skills, preferably a color laser printer, but you could easily use an inkjet color printer as well. The reason I’m not big on the inkjet printers because any little bit of water or sweat will have its smear plus actual printing quality doesn’t really look for a good either.  And in general, it tends to be a little grainy and dotty.

They got something that might actually work with your business.  Like for instance the viewer vitamin store with my sense to pick up a small little bottle of vitamin C or something like that.  I would suggest that you make sure that the piece is no bigger than 3 inches tall.  And no smaller really than 2 inches tall.

So here’s the idea, I personally don’t see the use some type of a bubblegum or a piece of chocolate on the create a walking piece that would fit small and at peace of chocolate or gum. And when I do is ask to come up with a promotion for the fun of it.  That would say like new and improved taste, long-lasting flavor.  On the Frey may put some type or small or for some type of call to action.  On the back of it where you would put in nutritional values and ingredients.  I’ll come up with some new cool slick stuff to put about our company is well. This piece will then be printed on what they call crack and peel. Crack and pill is basically a label on the front it’s printable, and they’re on the back of it you crack it open and stick it to a product. Unending I take his label rather around a piece of chocolate or the piece of gum and put this into my conference room. This waits like a thing and give my customers when they come and. It shows some type of creativity, and it’s something they can take with them. It’s obviously very important to make sure you don’t forget to put your telephone number, as well as your website address.

And tell you I did a promotion like this long time ago and actually worked out very well. This is another great thing to create for yourself if you’re going through trade show.  I member while back I created a bottle water for customer and the label was an advertisement.  When went to the trade shows people walking around the press now cold bottled water with their company information on it.  And $500 off with the purchase of a new roof.  They tell me that it was very successful and to my knowledge, I do think that they got some jobs from this promotion.

This is probably something else I’m going to employ in my businesses well. I’m going to make up some custom bottled water labels and get a couple of cases of water with all my company information on it.

If you have any other good ideas or comments please leave them on the blog and I’ll take a look at them.  Maybe we can brainstorm together. You know what they say to mind is always better than one. In the meantime.  Thank you very much for tuning into her blog and will be posting more article shortly.

This is also a very good thing to do if you want to create a cool looking business card. Who says that a business card has to be a flat piece of paper.  Why can’t it be a piece of gum or piece of chocolate something actually why does the customer through taste and through creativity.

If you’re looking for a career printing and graphics company.  Check out www.preferredprint.com not only are we creative.  We’ve got some of the most competitive pricing on the Web.

I just want to respond to some questions and comments about what I’ve been writing about.

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

First off, I want to apologize if there are some typos in some of the stuff in which I’ve been speaking about. I have to admit, I’m not very good at typing. I have been using a program which some of you may have heard of, which is called natural speaking dragon. The way this program works ejections speaking to a headset and it.’s supposed to take whatever you speak about and turn them into text. So there are definitely times at there have been some typos probably does the program has not understood what I’ve been speaking about not to mention the fact that I have not really done virtually any proof reading to find out if the program has made some mistakes. I do however want you to know that the things I do speak about I do every with extensive knowledge about them. So I apologize.  And thank you for your forgiveness if you have been coming across some typos.  In the meantime, feel free to leave any type of questions and/or comments about what it is that I’m writing about, for I will read them. That being said.  Thank you very much for tuning in, and I will be posting some more information shortly.

Make sure your full-color catalog is packed with little tricks and trinkets.

Friday, October 12th, 2007

In my opinion, if you’re going to send out a full-color catalog you want to make sure that it has every little less bell and whistle that you can or for the client to actually purchase your product and feel comfortable with that purchase.  The thing you got to get is when you mail someone out a catalog using a direct mail campaign.  It’s a very important that the client feels comfortable.  The more comfortable with the client feels the more likely they are to purchase a lot more the product, which will translate to a much higher dollar amount per customer sale. Here is some of the things you want to make sure that they’re in your catalog.

1.) Order form – it’s important to have a very nice order form centered in the middle of your full-color catalog. One of the things that I saw most recently is NCR form incorporated into the order form. This is nice because it actually lets the person keep a copy of their part of the order form if they need to reference something with an order number on itthe order form.

2.) Some companies will put a nice full-color Poster in the middle of their full-color catalog. As long as it’s a good poster it’s a great idea because you can end up having people hang up the post is in very different areas in their home with your logo and telephone number all over the full-color poster.

3.)  Another important thing to do is to make sure that the catalog has a very strong call to action on the cover of the. Some type of special offer that says for a limited time only you get XYZ or special gift.

The main thing is to create a good marketing campaign, and then stick to that marketing campaign.  As I said so many times before, most campaigns fail because people pull the plug long before it can be successful.  Another thing I would suggest to do is to find their very good advertising block from a reputable author who has written various different books on the topic and then follows procedures so you can have an effective marketing campaign in to stick with it. As this blog continues I will come up with some more information.  In regards to this and some more books to suggest for you to read.

This same if you move a muscle you change a thought.  What that means to me is you need to get out there on the field and start making this thing happen.

I said so many times that before he can afford direct mail campaigns and use the one to some marketing does print up some nice full color flyers and get out there and do some guerrilla marketing. Whatever it takes to be successful.  That’s what you need to do.

And the other thing I would suggest to do is to work your warm markets.  Go to your phone books and find out all the different people that might be interested in your products.  Friends, family, aunts and uncles.
