One of the things I like to tell people on a regular basis is that what used to work in marketing and advertising and direct-mail campaigns 5 years ago is not prudent today. So many times people get into a habit over the years of doing specific marketing techniques, and they think that that’s what’s going to continue to bring profits in today’s ever-changing highly competitive commercial printing industry. The fact is that what worked five years ago definitely has no bearing in today’s marketplace. Direct mail campaigns that use to be successful and having 3%maybe even 5% returns are today nonexistent. This is why and my opinion need to become louder and bolder across the board in every single advertising medium available today. One of the things that I have seen many come please do and do very successful is to work hard at search engine optimization coming up in all the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. My marquee clients that I do our work with and consulting is www.preferredprint.com this company in particular has really done a fantastic job at the level of search engine optimization and really cashing in on the Internet boom. I was at their office earlier today and they had a sale come in for NCR forms that was some one area of $1600. I have to say what an amazing sale was very proud of the owners and the management team to see that they’ve created a successful online store that people can shop at 24 hours a day seven days a week. They have not stopped there by the way, they also have various different online printing stores under various different names competing over various different marketplaces. I never thought that I would say, but it’s actually probably more cost-effective for this company to do Internet marketing than it is for them to actually print of their own full color postcards into a mass mail it across the country to various different vendors and customers. Don’t get me wrong, if you have a nice full-color brochure and you want to mail it out to some existing client base. I think that’s very important for the days of canvassing doing mass malice to various different companies that you don’t even know is really becoming a thing of the past.

One of the things that I’ve noticed from being the full color printing industry for many years is that a lot of client selects we just take their old for lack of a better word crappy designs. Brochures that they have not made up back in the 1980’s and then go and spend thousands of dollars on having these things reprinted. If you’re going to go out and buy a brand-new full-color brochure or a full-color postcard full-color rack cards and US spend tons of money on full-color letterhead and envelopes. It’s in your best interests to have a professional graphic designer re work and all of the graphic design and maybe even your logo if it needs a facelift. If I’ve said it once I say it a million times. The integrity of your graphic design will ultimately make or break your whole entire campaign. It’ll make or break every single piece of marketing material that you have higher a quality graphic design firms to take care of all your graphic design needs.

One of the companies that I do a lot of work with www.preferredprint.com sells bulk color printing. Usually what this refers to is that when you order or something like a full-color postcard or a full-color catalog. Rather than purchasing these things in small quantities of 500 or a 1000 you buy them in quantities of 5000 units and more. When you figure from the standpoint of even something as simple as buying a full color business card lets set if 1000 business cards course you the consumer $99. Preferredprint.com sells you that same product for 5000 units for $125. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that once you go through 1000 cards and unique order another one you just pay twice the amount for the same full color business cards. And over the course of the next four reorders you’ll paid a total of $500 for those business cards or you can purchase for only $125. The same thing goes when you order something like a full-color rack cards or full color postcards, as well as full-color brochures. This is why it’s also sounds a little bit crazy, but it’s actually cheaper for you to buy four color process printed material than it is for you to buy 1,2 or 3 color printing is crazy. The sound of four color printing is actually cheaper.

One of the things that I counsel my full color printing clients on doing on a regular basis is doing direct mailers using jumbo postcards. When I speak of jumbo postcards on talking about the biggest possible postcard that you can Mal before the postage increase. The sizes postcard is 6.5 x 11. This is the biggest letter size pieces that you can mail out before they charge you for what they call flat, which is a lot more money and postage. You’d be surprised how many clients. I meet have a vast databases of potential clients and existing clients are they done business with over two years that they’ve been in business themselves. And they never In that marketplace. So fine that we as companies always spend time in getting new business and we don’t work with the business you are a have. The one thing that also impress upon my clients is that it’s very important for them to have the piece designed by professional graphic designer. I always tell in the integrity of your design will ultimately make or break your home mailing campaign.

If you have been a company in the marketplace purchasing full-color printing in the last five years, and you’re probably very familiar with the word gang run printing. This has been a very popular way of doing full color printing, and this trend has been very popular in the last four years. This is been so popular that it’s come to the point that if you want a short run for color print job chances are it’s going to be on a gang run form. Essentially outworks as they take 15 to 30 different clients in gang them all onto one form. Then they take that same form in around 5000 sheets and they cut down each individual customers job, box them separately and then ship them out to all different clients around the country. The only problem with this is that the callers can never really be exact in any given job. They can only go for what they call pleasing color, because they can focus on any one particular job than it would have all the colors on the various different jobs come out inconsistent. But they have truly funny about this is that people put in jobs like business cards, which they end up paying, somewhere an area of $99 for 5000 full color business cards. And then they want them to be a agency quality. This sounds a lot with the post cards as well go by 5000 full color postcards for $225 and then expect those to be agency quality. This is what I try to explain to customers on a regular basis. You cannot get agency quality work from in gang one print job. If you want high quality ad agency printing. Then you should run the job all by itself. This is only way to get off high quality of full color printing. This sounds a lot even believe it or not with companies that are graphic design firms. You’d think they would know by the effectivetheyaregraphicdesignfrom.

I’ve been in the for lack of a better word, full color printing industry for the last 20 years of my life. When I was in my late teens and early 20s I was in the industry purchasing. I have to say that it’s changed quite a bit since those days. Back then, we didn’t have any fancy computers and basically all of the typesetting was done by hand and mechanicals and actually have a shot with a camera and burned into a plate. Now everything is done on computers and digital files. We no longer have to run this back and forth to the commercial printers we actually do send things either to via FTP sites or e-mail. Etc. print job taking you somewhere in Aries a week and a half to two weeks. It’s now done within 24 to 48 hrs.. The other thing that has changed quite drastically is the price. Back when I used order flyers is very common to pay $700-$1000 to 5000 full color postcards. Now I’ve seen them as low as $150 to 5000 full color postcards. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out together do a hell of a lot of postcards at $150 to make what you could’ve made at 700 or $1000. The other thing this changes the actual consumers knowledge of full color printing. The thing that’s funny as is really no such term full color printing. It was basically bastardize because people didn’t really grasp the concept of full color printing all better known as for color process. So people start using the term full color printing to describe what looks like full color or looks like a photograph so that term was common taken from what’s called for color process. People use terms back then, like off set printing. People knew which sheetfed printing was as well. This terminology is not used very often anymore, although maybe it should be used more often. Nowadays a lot of stuff is going digital, which is basically a glorified way of saying a color copy machine. This is allowed people toward a full color brochures as well as full color business cards and full color catalogs and not order such quantity. You can order min Mondays and Tuesdays now because of the color copy machines.

Simas sounds like the introduction to a funny joke. The truth of the matter the difference between a full-color business card and a black-and-white business card is a hell of a lot. A black-and-white business card and most of the time shows that your day underfunded as well as unexperienced company. More importantly it is so inexpensive into the ever-increasing technology in the printing industry that to have anything other than the full-color business card is pretty much embarrassing. There are so many different companies out there offering these business cards at such a dramatic discount it’s silly to have nothing but the best. I know that preferredprint.com give you a euro it’s www.preferredprint.com offers 5000 full-color business cards starting as low as $125. I want to sound rude but if you can’t afford $125 the restaurants of the business cards and we should think twice about continuing in business. They also offer a 5000 full-color postcards starting as low as $225 again these are very good and competitive prices and it’s such a small investment to not have them is a shame. Do yourself a favor and call his company is soon as you possibly can the telephone number is 1-800-329-0005. And for extra credit just tell them that Joe sent you. They’ve got a really amazing group of graphic designers as well from the state and I think they’re five full-time graphic design is on staff. The customer service is also the best I’ve ever experienced in the printing industry. When the sales reps name is Mark Murray. He is definitely one of the people you should ask for when calling preferredprint.com.

This is some years ago actually came up with a cool promotional idea which ended up producing witch and the producing for me. I went out and purchased 5000 pieces of bazooka bubblegum and I made up a little fly that was the size of a bazooka bubble gum wrapper. Then when I did was I physically peeled off each individual sticker and place them around the actual piece of bubble gum. This is one of those things where I just walked around and I distribute these things by hand and distribution promoting his upcoming event. It was such a hit that grand opening of the event produced 1800 people. Another friend that I saw another person do sometime prior to that was a creative small little flyer with a lot of copy on it. Know what they do is put a hole on the flyer and attached a small magnifying glass to it so you could pull a magnifying glass back and recall information that it had on the flyer. My personal experience when it comes to any type of direct marketing or mass mailing. It is very important to be creative and more creative the better. A bigger problem now is that people want a quick fix marketing and promotion a box. The problem is that everybody has the same box and they keep hitting the same groups of people again and again with the various products. you know the same garbage in garbage out. Now in the new year of digital printing and click printers. It’s easy to get volume of literature at inexpensive price. But sometimes less is more. You can actually go further with a piece that is actually 12 or three color printing than you can with something that is four color process. Create a business card that will last a lifetime. In my opinion it’s worth it to spend $250 more on a high-end high color full-color business card than it is to try and get something put together on the cheap. This goes for full-color brochures to full-color catalog stood full-color pocket folders and really doesn’t matter what it is that you printing take your time get a quality graphic designer and do right be creative.

So often I see various different promotional products that are missing the most important component to a successful mailing campaign. This is why it’s so important to have the piece designed and created around a strong call to action. Normally when I’m designing a full-color brochure or, business card, full-color catalog, when it comes to direct-mail piece by star with a strong call to action first. When the graphic designers that I work with has the same mindset as I do. Frequency equals sales. That’s why it’s so important to have that strong call to action something that will have your potential client leap out of his seat pick up the phone and call you to make the purchase for your product. This is how many effective marketing strategies are conducted. So the next time you’re thinking about sending out a full-color postcard star with a strong call to action first.

People estimate is quite often, obviously as being an owner of a full color printing and graphic design company. People ask me all the time about logo design. The first thing I would tell you about, logo design is very important for you the customer to know what it is that you have a mine. You may ask yourself how is it done loan to find out what it is that I like. Very simple, where I would suggest that you do is to actually go to Borders. Or maybe Barnes & Noble going to the graphic design area of the bookstore and star looking at books on creating logos. There are many good books out there that have various different styles from hundreds of not thousands of different town the graphic designers around the country. Then when she find a couple logos alike than you can actually give a brief description to the graphic designer that you want to design your logo. The thing is really important for you to keep in mind is that you logo is going to be the one constant on every and all walking products that you’re going to be putting out for your new company. The slow old be carried through, probably a full color business cards as well as a full-color brochure. But it doesn’t stop there than you need to come up with a pocket folder with your logo on it letterhead and envelopes with your logo on it. You’re going to get a full-color catalog what you logo on all your direct and talking pieces going to have your logo on. And the logo and marketing your business like a full-color banner. Direct mail pieces flyers that you print up to do hand and distribution every single thing is going to have a logo on it. That’s why it’s imperative that when you’d spend money on the logo you don’t skimp get what it is that you need get what is that you want. So som porn when the creating the logo to make sure that they give it to you so can be run within process colors like a beauty 12 or three color printing the logo would transfer into that and you can utilize it. So if you had to do T-shirt store to various different things like embroidery that you can actually use a logo for that as well. Most people realize how much information goes into creating a logo. That’s what are usually so expensive.
