How does one pick a good 4 color commercial printer???

I think the first thing you’d like to do is get a list of references from the actual commercial printer with whom they have done business with in the past. Also think would obviously be good to get some of their full color printing samples of jobs a day of printed in the past. Obviously you want to call these references to make sure the people are satisfied with their print jobs. As well, most areas have some type of state run online website that would have any type of complaints against the the commercial printer. Even also look him up with inside the Better Business Bureau and make sure they haven’t had too many complaints. The last but not least, you can tell a lot about the people and the company if you to sit there and listen to them. Ask him some questions about their company.  For instance, what makes them different in the business place.  What is their philosophy in keeping clients happy. What happens in the circumstances that you are unhappy with your full color printing job. Do they supply color proofs for you to sign off on. Also like to look at different companies websites to see how the updated they are. Another thing that you may want to ask the person is to give you a list of all their equipment, this is obviously referred to as an equipment lists. Also, I’m sure you’d want to know if they have a full bindery in house or are they sending out their work to have the bindery done. Most big commercial princes do their own, finishing with inside their own company. Most big commercial princes will sub out any type of guy cutting and foil stamping for very few of them do that in house. The other thing that’s a good idea is to get a couple quotes from them over the course of a month or so to see other turnaround is on them courting custom jobs. You will also go more find out what the general turnaround time is for a basic full-color print job.  You’ll also want to find out what their turnaround time is on the full-color print job. And last but not least, you want to see what type are terms that they be willing to or for your company. I know that times were very calm and years ago, to be able to get net 30 on your print jobs.  But I do believe because of all of the fraud and the companies is going out of business that many printers are very weary about doing this nowadays.  I would also probably look to give him some your smaller jobs to get going on first. It is been my experience that you do not want to give a new printer a very large job right off the bat. Definitely get to know your printer for a little bit before sending them any very big jobs.
