posters and postcard to great promotional items that work well together
One of my favorite ways of doing marketing at the level of grassroots promotions, or guerrilla marketing for that matter the two best tool I can think of are full color posters and postcards. I like the posters beacause they make a good marketing mix dunring and after the distributing of the postcards. Obviously it’s best to find a very high traffic areas and start out by putting the posters everywhere. If you can the main entrances, and going after you have secured the full color posters. Your next part of the job is to do the distribution of the full color postcards. The idea is to create a marketing max some amount where they go there reminded of the upcoming event and/or sell. This works well for many different types of businesses in many different types of marketplaces. I remember when I used to going to Manhattan they would take these construction sites and wherever they had the scaffolding will. They generally had these blue plywood sheets may be 10 to 12 feet off the ground and the plywood sheets themselves would be another 10 to 12 feet high. Then all the different promoters and record labels and department stores would cover these sections of plywood with posters using wallpaper glue. So you be driving around Manhattan, you would pull up to these construction job sites, and everybody was promoting a cell or events or record release. I’m suggesting you do the same type of thing put these posters everywhere and anywhere people will see them. Obviously you want to check to make sure that there are no laws within your city. That would prohibit such marketing techniques. If there are laws you may want to find out what the fines are. And then determine if it is worth it for you to get a fine. While I can tell you is that I’ve use this method many times and many times it’s been very very successful all I can tell you is I’ve use this technique many many times in many times it’s been successful.
